At Dataquest, we’re currently recruiting for an IT Services Controller to join our IT team.

We are a leading IT, Print and Solutions company based in the heart of the business district in London,  a few minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Old Street and Shoreditch High Street stations. We’re surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafes and pop-ups, and there’s even a bit of greenery nearby!

Our office space is open-plan and we have a friendly, social culture; from our shareholders down, we live our motto “Work hard, play hard”, demonstrated by our social events throughout the year. We’re passionate about developing our talent; we invest in our people and support them to build a career with us.

What Do I Need?

Our department is incredibly busy; we receive a high volume of tickets and queries from our clients and internal departments, so exceptional organisation and administration skills are key to this role. We’re also looking for someone who:

  • Has a demonstrable interest of working in IT
  • Has working knowledge of helpdesk software, databases and remote control – you’ll need to hit the ground running so it’s crucial that you’re happy to learn as you go
  • Has a customer service focus, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a helpful, approachable attitude; you’re the face of our team after all!
  • Is proactive and actively seeks to improve processes and procedures
  • Ideally has previously worked supporting an IT service desk

Whilst this role isn’t an engineering role and will primarily be focused on administration and coordination, if you have experience of resolving some first-line queries then this is a distinct advantage.

What Will I be Doing?

The role will be the ‘face’ of our team, both to our clients and our internal departments. You will act as the team ‘coordinator’, and be responsible for all team administration. This means that:

  • You will need to make sure all incidents are logged, updated and resolved efficiently, keeping customers in the loop where necessary
  • You will take responsibility for implementing and maintaining our IT Asset Management System, and maintaining our IT helpdesk software
  • Manage the IT team’s diaries and daily activities, making sure the right person is in the right place at the right time doing the right thing
  • Produce reports and implement KPIs
  • Manage all IT documentation and procedures

If this role sounds like a good fit for you, and you’d like a copy of the full job description and person specification then apply below.  Please note that we aim to do all our recruitment in-house, so no agencies please!
